OZYEGIN UNIVERSITY
B-tech Lab was established within the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Özyeğin University with the aim of conducting national and international research and development activities that generate innovative, technology driven solutions for contemporary needs in the field of Building Envelope Design and Technology. In 2025, B-tech Lab merged with the Faculty’s Building Materials and Physics Research Laboratory, an established research unit focused on building energy efficiency and the life-cycle assessment of materials and construction systems, forming a more comprehensive and robust research platform.
In addition to its research activities, B-tech Lab supports undergraduate and graduate education on building science and construction technologies by integrating computational design methodologies within the Faculty of Architecture and Design. The laboratory also provides an interdisciplinary research environment for students in the Master’s and Ph.D. programs under the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, enabling them to gain broad, cross-disciplinary experience.
Aligned with its mission, B-tech Lab collaborates with leading institutions in the building construction industry engaged in research and development, as well as with international universities and academic networks, fostering impactful, interdisciplinary partnerships.
