Ozu hosted a one-day conference on women’s writing on March 8, 2014. The conference focused on marginalised women writers of Ottoman and Turkish literature including Mihri Hatun, Zabel Yeseyan, Halide Edip Adıvar, and Suat Derviş etc. Panels are concluded with a roundtable in which Hatice Meryem, Şebnem İşigüzel and Müge İplikçi discussed being a women writer in contemporary Turkey.
