HODM-Lab is a research laboratory established to develop methodologies and tools to improve humanitarian supply chain and logistics systems and processes for better disaster preparedness and response. 

Housed within the Faculty of Engineering at the Özyeğin University (OzU), HODM-Lab aims to bring researchers from different disciplines as well as practitioners together to develop solutions for complex problems faced in humanitarian systems and different phases of disaster management. 

The HODM-Lab, established and directed by Dr. Burcu Balçık, conducts funded and non-funded research in collaboration with graduate and undergraduate students from OzU, as well as researchers and practitioners from different universities and organizations around the world.
